WHAT IS DESIGN TREND?
At each High Point Market, exhibitors prepare to release their latest products and showcase the current direction of design. In the world of creativity, fluctuation of style in relationship to the past as well as creative invention is what keeps the industry intriguing and desirable. As designers, immersing ourselves in the environment of avant-garde allows us to be knowledgeable of cutting-edge design product that is fun, new, and exciting that we can, in turn, introduce to the homes of our clients.
SO WHAT IS THE TREND?
It is time to say goodbye to mid-century modern, cool greys, and succulents and make way for the emerging style of 2019. Throughout the showrooms of High Point Market, we noted the consistency of blush, dusty pink, lavenders, and soft emerald green. At once thought to be better when matched, metals are recently being mixed to complement each other against warm, neutral palettes. Silver, gold, brass, bronze, nickel, pewter, and black metals are being mixed to add interest to the color palette of a space. The use of metals along with a selection of textures in fabrics and artwork are the factors involved in achieving the latest style in design. In addition to these new design strategies, bold wallpaper is making a comeback with fresh designs and pattern, some even assuming their own texture.
